Waffle Weekend

We had another great weekend with friends, family, waffles and the most beautiful fall weather. Here are some highlights:

• We had our first Waffle Party with close friends and family. We haven't had everyone over since Anders' blessing day so it was definitely due. It was great to chat, laugh, and eat. And who wouldn't love having waffles for dinner? Props to Derek who spent 2 hours manning the waffle grill. They were delicious!
• Derek was exhausted after a long week at work, so when Anders woke up so did I. We decided to make daddy something special so we made berry bread pudding. It was nice and hot when Derek got out of bed and yummy with the left over whipped cream from Friday.
• We brought brunch for my family. Leftover waffles are still good waffles.
• We went for a couple of walks and enjoyed the sun. 
• Anders got better at waving bye.
• Derek planned a nice day in the city for us and we shared samosas in the car with a delicious sauce. A little messy, but oh so good.
• We made pizza, perogies, and stir fry (separate meals of course).
• We watched some Seinfeld and Glee.
• Derek and I shared a dance.
• Anders popped his first tooth (finally!). He also had to get his first band aid this weekend.
• Derek 'really' cooked for the first time. You know, using spices and cutting up veggies etc. I was impressed.
